Career Pilot Course

Graduating high school or making a major career change is both exciting and intimidating. You can take the well-beaten path of a 4 year degree program, rack up a cool $80,000-$200,000+ in student debt yet still not have a guaranteed job in your field of study. What if there was another option? What if you could invest a little over 4 months of your time plus the average cost of a mid-size sedan and have a lifestyle of which most people could never dream? Welcome to Flight School!

The simple fact is that traditional 4-year degrees aren't what they used to be. Just ask your local bookstore clerk or the guy behind the fast food counter where they went to college, because they probably did. Our government has done a great job of making college degrees more attainable, but this has created terrible market conditions for university graduates. So we now have an "overeducation problem" source. College degrees are as common as high school degrees in today’s business world and they simply don’t qualify you to do anything but stand in the unemployment line. Historically speaking that’s exactly where you’ll be. Fact!

Many savvy high school grads & their parents are starting to seek alternative career paths. They’re quickly learning that the fastest and cheapest route to one of the highest paying careers in existence rests in simply becoming a Commercial Pilot. Don’t believe us? Let me Google that for you.  And no, you don’t have to have a college degree!

With a full-time study schedule, our Career Pilot Program will take you from zero flight experience all the way to becoming a working Commercial Pilot in as little as 4 months!

Flight Instructor Courses

If your goal is to fly with a major airline, the most important thing you’re going to need on your resume is flight experience. You can be the biggest hot shot right out of Top Gun Academy, but if you don't have enough flight hours logged you won't be going straight to the airlines. So, what’s a young Maverick like yourself to do? That’s easy - become a Certificated Flight Instructor right here at Myrtle Beach Academy of Aviation and you’ll build your required time fast. On average, you can plan to be airline ready in about 18-24 months from the date you start working for us.

As a CFI, you'll be responsible for helping people realize their dream of flight - all while logging valuable flight hours to your dossier and getting you closer to that dream job! Teaching others how to fly is a great way to reinforce what you know and really polish your skills behind the stick. We start our flight instructor out at $25 per hour of instruction given which means a hard working flight instructor can make up to $52,000.00 working for us in their first year!
